  • MP
    Style Family 8
The interference group we used was r5:3
This was distributed to two strata.
The Scale for the counterpoint was built on 2+3+3
The primary axis was chosen as a common tome c and e.
We will continue this discussion on Thursaday.

  • Speaking Schillinger April 11,2013 we talked about Monothematic composition that used a interference that was used as a way to distribute attacks to two strata. In this case are intention was to write a piano piece. We chose the two scales by using notes that had a repeating interval pattern.
What was not mentioned was the scheme was derived around one Style Family.
    Let's explore the MP MasterPlan

  • We had a great time at the Earle Brown Symposium Beyond Notation. Lou Pine gave a wonderful workshop on Earle's use of the Schillinger System in Earle's piece Tracking Pierrot. It was also great to meet Frank Pergolizzi for the first time after so many years of Speaking Schillinger sessions.
