Jerome Walman
Jerome Walman is one of a few certified teacher of the Schillinger System of Musical Composition in the United States.
He is a graduate of Boston University as well as Berklee College of Music (originally the Schillinger House of Music Boston, MA.) He furthered his studies at The Julliard School and New York University. He became an astute student of Professor Rudolph Schramm who ultimately certified Mr. Walman in the Schillinger System. Through a collective effort, Professor Schramm and Professor Walman collaborated and developed a more methodical approach to the Schillinger System.
Professor Walman is a professional composer. His music has been produced and published on Broadway and in regional theater. A string quartet and wind quintet have been performed at Carnegie Recital Hall.
His published and produced musical theater and operatic work include, "Moment's” based on Henry James Washington Square, a five character chamber opera with orchestration by Robert Russell Bennett (My Fair Lady) originally produced at Washington theater club with Hud Hatfield; I Murdered Mary Finch, "A Mysterious Musical."
Professor Walman also taught the Schillinger System in private instruction to Michel Rouse and Philip DiTullio. It is with a debt of gratitude that I thank Professor Walman for taking time and having the patience to teach me the Schillinger System and single handedly fostering its legacy.
Professor Walman is retired but may be reached at
