Preserving the Works of Joseph Schillinger

Philip DiTullio

Philip DiTullio,

Educator, Composer, Musician, Scientist

Philip DiTullio is a scientist and musician who has researched and studied the Schillinger System with the last of the authorized teachers and a trail left by Joseph Schillinger himself. His ten years of research has led him through a winding journey of Schillinger’s work beginning in Russia extending to Canada then to the United States of America uncovering stories of escaping espionage and deportation all for his music of composition theory. Phil’s study of this system ushered him to depths of music he never imagined. This combination of music and science heralded him to ground breaking discoveries and the Logic of music was developed.

His work has been praised as the Schillinger scholar of our times by the Artists Recording Collection. His students hold him in the highest esteem and praise his educational style and teaching methods.

His work continually pushes musical limits in his own compositions. He has engineered an alternative reality by bending waveforms within his music. Finding the link between mathematics and music, he developed into the Logic of Music. He is a composer, musician and educator. Giving the modular synthesizer a prominent role in his studio he is blazing new trails and taking courageous steps in the development of electronic music.

The Schillinger Society is committed to the preservation and promotion of the mathematical theories developed by Joseph Schillinger. These mathematical theories translated into many areas of music and the arts.

This society serves as custodians of the Schillinger’s teachings which encompass a vast body of work including theories of mathematical musical compositions, his manuscripts, and his works of art. The distribution of this information will be made available to promote education via lectures, pod casts, news feeds and courses.

By protecting and maintaining the integrity of the theories of Joseph Schillinger it will serve to foster continued exploration and education in the field of the mathematical basis of the arts.
